Society for Hong Kong Studies was established in 2017. Through adopting a multidisciplinary approach, the Society aims to provide a platform to facilitate local and international collaboration among scholars and students of Hong Kong history, society and culture. It encourages the development of new theories, concepts, and methods to study Hong Kong in relation to China, Asia and beyond, and organises academic activities, social events and cultural exchanges to connect scholars of Hong Kong studies and enhance the resilience of the field. The WYNG Foundation is supporting the scholarly exchange work of the Society.
