Jointly established by the Faculties of Engineering and Social Sciences at the University of Hong Kong, the Centre conducts research and promotes its findings in water technology and policy. It also organises seminars, workshops and conferences for experts, policy makers and other stakeholders in both areas to facilitate discussion on water security issues in Hong Kong (against the background of Mainland China). The WYNG Foundation facilitated the establishment of the Centre.
